Salem Vineyard Church desires to be a light to our city, providing a place of healing and respite. We believe experiencing the presence of the Holy Spirit through worship and prayer enables us to be the hands and feet of Christ to our community in a way that is distinct from other churches. We believe strongly that the Father's heart is to transform our world through making wrong things right for hurting and marginalized people.

We are a church family of about 100 with a great mix of generations and ethnicities. In addition to corporate worship, we value authentic connections made through ministries to children, youth, young families, small groups, men, and women.

We support and have sent out many missionaries, including families in China, South Africa, and Ukraine. In our community we have supported local YWAM missionaries for many years.

Currently, we meet for worship on Saturday but we are in the process of moving into a new space that will allow us to switch back to Sundays.

Qualified candidates should email their cover letter with contact information, resume, and teaching examples to: More details about this position and the process will be provided to all candidates.

An ideal leader would help us in reaching our diverse community for Christ. They should be a Spirit-filled, collaborative teacher who will identify, raise up, and release teams of leaders to accomplish what God has for us. Top candidates should have a proven record of leading with integrity, transparency, authenticity, and open communication. A demonstrated ability to teach and disciple others is required.

A Lead Pastor should be comfortable in all areas of church life, including shepherding our Body with sensitivity and an empowering style, so that all members can move into their God-given gifting and callings. Pastoral care and counseling is helpful, but our local community also offers many resources in this area. Experience and familiarity with church administration is desirable though a strong team is in place and will continue to support a new leader through the transition.

An ideal candidate will exemplify the character for elders described in I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, I Peter 5:1-4, and Matthew 20:25-28. Candidates should have completed a course of biblical training such as seminary, Bible college, or Vineyard Institute. Additionally, two years of pastoral related experience at a Vineyard church is preferred.
